Creative Entertainment Technology Executive, leading the development and production of world-class live-action, animation, gaming, VR and AR entertainment. Skilled at assessing emerging technologies, evaluating its potential application for innovation, making current pipelines more efficient while envisioning the creations of new workflows and content opportunities. Successful track record for collaborations, maintaining complex production schedules, overcoming unforeseen technical and creative roadblocks, managing full-time, freelance talent and overseas studios.

Most recently Young served as Senior Vice President of the Nickelodeon Entertainment Lab where he designed, built and managed a state-of-the-art virtual stage equipped for full-body motion capture and location-based virtual reality development. In addition to overseeing a team of artists and engineers focused on real-time animation technologies Young created and executive produced “Meet The Voxels”, a 22 minute live-action animated sitcom pilot using Unreal Engine.

Prior to his work at Nickelodeon, Young produced “The Proud Family” animated movie for The Disney Channel, executive produced “Animal Rescue Kids” for Discovery Channel, and co-produced the movie “Killing Mr. Griffin” for NBC. In 2000 Young founded the startup and served as chief creative officer for Animobile, a forerunner in the mobile gaming space, where he designed and oversaw the production of over two dozen original mobile games for multiple handheld devices.

Young began his entertainment industry career at 15 when he starred as boy genius Bryce Lynch on the cult TV series Max Headroom. Before becoming a producer and director, Young starred in the feature films The Great Outdoors, Book of Love and PCU.

Young lives in Studio City, California with his wife and two children.
